What We Must See

What We Must See

A Poem by Ayame Kurosaki
"

Short poem I wrote when I had nothing better to do. Tell me what you think!

"

We must see past our fabricated realities

And into what one might call a soul.

We must see ourselves reflected

In the eyes of whom we hold most dear.

We must see the truths from the lies

As we speak to the skys above us.

We must see that people care for us

Even when we don't care for ourselves.

We must see that hate means nothing,

But love can heal wounds.

We must see beneathe the shadows

That cloak the places we seek.

We must see outside the masks

And find out things first hand.

We must see not only what we want to,

But what we need to.

No matter how much it hurts.
