![]() Afterglow AfterthoughtsA Poem by Luna Ashgrave![]() A man contemplates his state of mind after giving in to his lover's desires![]()
Cotton sheets drape us both
as she in slumber lies with me Beautiful afterglow enraptures her Oh god what have I done? Her alabaster bottle now broken Was I right to give in? She begged and pleaded for me Yet I've never felt more empty I don't want to scar such tender heart But this guilt; it's overbearing Maybe later I'll tell her But will she understand? For now dear, dance in dreamland Tomorrow my truth will be told © 2013 Luna AshgraveAuthor's Note
