Afterglow AfterthoughtsA Poem by Luna AshgraveA man contemplates his state of mind after giving in to his lover's desires
Cotton sheets drape us both
as she in slumber lies with me Beautiful afterglow enraptures her Oh god what have I done? Her alabaster bottle now broken Was I right to give in? She begged and pleaded for me Yet I've never felt more empty I don't want to scar such tender heart But this guilt; it's overbearing Maybe later I'll tell her But will she understand? For now dear, dance in dreamland Tomorrow my truth will be told © 2013 Luna AshgraveAuthor's Note
