shadows

figures of darkness,

figures of fear,

sadness and sorrow linger here,

figures that follow  whereever i go,

like an echo of the past,

reaching out and calling my name,

hiding my soul in shame,

then i see the light,

and the shadows disappear,

leaving me free from fear.
