Love Like a Candle

Love Like a Candle

A Poem by chaotic katie

A love like a candle

Began with a spark

It lit up the way

It pierced the dark.

This love like a candle,

Was tender and warm

It was a safe haven during a storm,

And the lovers would melt,

Melt into each other,

And molded so graceful,

Into one another.

But this love like a candle,

Would taper and sway,

Would flicker and flutter,

Until it melted away,

At last the love was nothing,

But ashes on the floor,

And the love like a candle,

Burned no more.

Gee
A candle would never end as " ashes upon the floor"
Aside from this I enjoyed reading your poem
