Why we have seasons

Why we have seasons

A Story by chaotic katie

Long ago,  in the castle in the sky, Mother nature and father time created four children, each controlling different types of weather. Spring, the eldest, could make the rain fall and the flowers grow. Summer could make the sun shine bright in the sky. Autumn, the eldest son, could make the leaves turn a variety of oranges and yellows, bringing a slight chill to the air that warned animals to find warm places to sleep. Winter was the youngest child. He could make it snow and turn very very cold. When all four children became of age, they were permitted to take their powers to earth. Problem arose quickly. The children began to fight over controll of the weather.  The people on earth began to grow confused, especially the poor farmers, whom had crops to tend to.  “What ever shall we do?”, Asked father time worriedly, “We don’t want any of the children to think that their power is not important, but we don’t want the  people on eath to suffer because of their foolish actions”, he said. “I have an idea”, Mother nature said, “Each child will be designated a time period that they are allowed to use their power on earth. “That’s a brilliant idea!”, father time exclaimed, it will go in order from eldest to youngest. Soon after, order restored to the world as the first season began, followed by her siblings, and that my friend, is why we have seasons here on earth.
