if I were beautiful,

I would be able to look in the mirror more often,

and not just live each day like I belong in a coffin,

i'd embrace the sunlight as its rays touch my face,

instead of being in the shadows in hopelessness and disgrace,

I'd smile more often,

thats easy to tell,

I'd accept the compliment when he says i'm his angel,

I'd anticipate the first breath of tomorrow,

instead of the last of today's,

and my nightmares and fears would all fade away.
