To abandon all

Giving up is not as simple as it seems

To abandon all

To toss myself into a ditch

To throw away all I've accomplished

To bury myself into a dark closet

To abandon all that has ever meant something

To destroy all my responsibilities

My pressing education, my part-time job

To forget all my pleasures even the guilty ones

It is all too impossible To dream

because

To pull the plug on all that matters 

is To disappoint those around me

and I'm not ready To throw that into a ditch
