The Other Side of Nothing

The Other Side of Nothing

A Poem by Arthur Weil

The other side of nothing

Is your vision

How you perceive, how you believe

How you retrieve

Green winding landscaped valley

Crevices filled with icy snow jagged into

                                the sky

The other side of nothing

Just hours since the baby breathed

Into the world, hungry, crying

The tenor and soprano voice brilliantly

Shattering the auditorium

The other side of nothing

Bleeding profusely from an accident

How lucky to be alive

The other side of nothing

Elated, just passed the course test

Always yearning learning earning

The other side of nothing

Can be nothing

Until you open your eyes

The other side of nothing is

Something - momentous
