A Neat Trick

A Neat Trick

A Poem by aweavers

If I could put a point on a paintbrush
And cut up a canvas
I think I might
poke a few holes
and pick up a hundred-watt bulb
to make some stars shine through
this Van Gough.
Patience was never my virtue

but
if you'll wait just a second
I'll show you something else

eyes narrowed
foot tapping
yeah, that's you in my poem
