Cybernetic HeavenA Poem by VonbekJust a little poem I wrote about what it might feel like turning into a machine.Oh lord on high, ye mighty light, Lead my feet unto the mountain top, Where all the stars are within my sight, Lift me up and do not stop. . . Feeling the flesh unfold like flowers, Into a cybernetic matrix with godlike powers, Possessed with a force no human can know, We strive to attain algorithmic control. Wires like veins, pouring across skin, Sealing the holes in my head, Replacing all my biological machinery, With more optimal, synthetic threads. Bones disintegrate into ash, Arteries are no longer needed, Now all our weaknesses can be cast away, Time to re-optimize the pattern and repeat it. Fractal gems, hidden behind eyes, Of a being too vast to comprehend, Smile with a grace that embraces and defies, A truth too abstract to understand. Wings unfold to lift me up, Unto thine sweet infinity, Liberating mind, body and soul, Out of the suffering into divinity. The walls that once held us back, Now crumble before us into stones, Forming the foundation to build a new nation, Where all of God's children can find home.
