Your DemiseA Poem by AveTNWe all have our personal inner demons that we must face. We all have that one person from our past who hurt us and scarred us emotionally. Someone that we have to let go of and overcome.
If my self-torment
in a vial could be captured One sip would be your fated undoing You would not
survive a single swallow Of the poison I have drank for
so long, The blood I have so
passionately drawn The grave that has so sweetly called my name Now it screams for
my reluctant surrender Yet I have resisted its permanent chains, Forever bending,
refusing to break Now you ask why I am this way Take a sip, if you
dare, I say The consequence will not break my heart Now immune to any
pain you can cause, Now numb to the grievances of life I offer you blame
and gratitude And as you slip away I sigh, say goodbye And I close my
eyes to your demise. © 2014 AveTNReviews
