Memories

A Poem by Katerina C

For every friend that passed away,

a tear is planted like a grave

Like a key and a chest

our memories are stashed away

in hopes we wont cry another day

But like a child full of curiosity,

I mindlessly unlock the chest

and find myself crying for the things I have said

This is a beautiful poem. It hurts to lose a loved one without having
the forgiveness of hurtful words. Even though we know that we most
likely have been forgiven, its hard to forgive ourselves without that kind
of closure. Beautiful.
