It's a Day

I wrote this after my first girlfriend left me, but I wanted to share with some of you.

It's a day...

That some never see coming

That crushes dreams

And ends it all

 

It's a day...

That one doesn't want

Breaks hearts

And loses friendships

 

Yet, it's a day...

People wish for

An ending for some

But an opening for them

 

But, for me, it's a day...

That I can't wait to have back

A time to be so happy

Only at what cost?
