Assumptions

Assumptions

A Story by Amy

Am i wrong to assume? To be afraid?
Am i wrong to be cautious,
in such a hazardous place?

I seem to be less
than every girl
surrounding me.

I'm no beauty queen,
i don't have marvelous eyes
or beautiful lips.
Hair so soft and long,
skin so smooth,
touchable.

All i have is charisma.
But what can that do
if what we see first,
is on the outside?

I only have something beautiful
on the inside.
Where no one bothers,
Where no one cares to f*****g look.
