A Story by Amy

I'm just waiting for a reply. Patiently, anxiously, tiredly, hopelessly. I miss you, and every night i leave my balcony door open, hoping i'll hear you pull up and text me saying "come out."
I miss our late night summer cyphs and foolishness. I miss asking you stupid, pointless questions. I miss laughing about random things, and i miss being in your presence.
Eventually, we'll move on. When, where, and how? I don't wanna know. But i'm gonna miss this. Like the stars miss the sky when the sun is out.
I'm gonna miss what we had, even if it was for the shortest time; and i'll miss the summer we spent together being young and reckless.
Eventually will come. And when it does, i hope we'll manage.
 Someway, somehow.
Just know that for now,
i'm yours to keep.
