Missed Train

Missed Train

A Poem by Aveira Corbett
"

Prose

"
I passed my dreams as I walked down the subway platform,
They entered a train and rode away.
They were tall and beautiful and full of joy.
They smiled and joked and tossed their hair.
They wore high heels at the end of slender legs.

I saw my dreams just ride away today.
The scent of success still lingering on as they disappeared into the tunnel.
But my train never came as I stood all alone on the platform not knowing my way.

A nice perspective on missed opportunities or dreams you've yet to fulfill and feel you will never reach. I've been standing on that train platform before. Nice job.

I liked this one though I am not very good in interpreting poems, I'm sort of thinking that the dreams being mentioned could be the other people that you'd like to become or at the same time could also be the person that you used to be. Just my thought :D
