Mess

Mess

A Poem by Amanda Avalon

Medicine, substance and conversation blocking tears

Although not every word you've said was true

Once again, I am cajoled into agreeing with you.

Take me down, down as low as anyone can go

Out from the sight of others

Secrets long past buried but not forgotten

I said I wouldn't cry anymore

But I've got to.
