Rat Race

Rat Race

A Poem by Amanda Avalon

How did it get so cold, oh

How did I get so old

How could I be more bold

My arms beside me to hold

I'm due to go on tour,

This will be for sure

A band of rebels to find

We won't be left behind

Remember to breathe, and

So it shall be seen
Making those too mean, sick 'till green

There's no need to fight

Better hold on tight

A bark or a bite-

I'll tell you what's right

There's an open house in the classifieds

You can get a job opening your thighs

I hear all those cries
Forget all the lies

I know that love can be hard to find

You have a very vivid imagination and creativity. I think you need to finish this as it doesn't feel complete. I think you need to tie it all together with a final concluding thought. Nice job.
