A Poem by Amanda Avalon

that waking morning
your hair matted to the side
averted guise
sunshine blind
i wiped the crust from my eyes
and knew
you cast me aside
before i'd even entered
your door

I feel so much when I read this. It was in these lines "i wiped the crust from my eyes
and knew/you cast me aside" where I almost cringed and imagined this actually happening. Good job!
