Two of Cups, D Minor

Two of Cups, D Minor

A Poem by Amanda Avalon

My partner harbors
Dual polars that dry my insides
Then- one upward glance
Spread out over this levitated bed and
I’ve been lubricated, bathed in bare
Eyes of panthers longing for time
Your taste of devil's flesh within reach

Mid-years’ bright lilacs struggle for survival
A season’s lack of chance to drench within your element
In my head like a kick you’ve replaced
The wolves howling as summer digests fall

Barefoot in the kitchen, we wake and play house
The balcony illuminated with citrus rays
A saccarined kiss amidst this scene
Stolen from some other time’s past
