dried and fermented cocoa beans 

once undisturbed, living in Ivory, 

only to be stolen  

and beat into 

a piece of American delicacy.

This is a nice poem. The simplicity of it is a breath of fresh air from all the other poems I've read so far. It comes off as a subtle reference to slavery in my eyes, but of course, I could be wrong.
