Tea for TwoA Story by authorised1960Another micro-fiction tale...Harry would laugh at her for her silliness, she knew. The memory of his loud laughter caused small pang of loneliness to stab its way through her heart. Fourteen months since he died and she missed him as much today as she ever had.
She tutted in frustration as her arthritic hands fumbled the cups and saucers. She carefully poured boiling water into the teapot and placed it on the set table.
"Ready darling" she said, smiling warmly at the empty chair opposite, the same as she did every day at this time.
She didn’t know what else to do. © 2016 authorised1960Reviews
