WarningA Poem by Laura E. ArandaBe careful what you wish forI have wished to know why the stars shine This has been my life, I found it worth living Just unceasingly gain knowledge about the stars Forever away...or so I thought Imusthurrynowwiththiswarningofsorts My very curiosity birthed within the core of my soul Has become an attainable feast the Night Sky craved Its hunger abound so mightily that the Night Sky lured others Just like me close and closer until our wonderings and dreams ...and alas, our very breaths were devoured by its unappeasable appetite I have wished to know why the stars shine.... Now I, too am one, yes, one of those brightly shining souls in the cold cloudless Night air Hanging by a thread, suspended for all eternity Be careful what you wish for, dear wanderlustful fellow Be careful what star twinkles in your eye © 2008 Laura E.
