Past This FaceA Poem by Laura E. ArandaThanks Rock and Roll Cowboy for inspiring this piece...HA!If you could just get past this face Try to advert your gaze Don't look too long at my nose See into my eyes, some say are the windows of my soul Pools of ebony orbs echoing my sadness from rejection Just look past who I am on the outside Some might think this body is sexy in a gothic manner but you What do you think? I am actually a passionate kind of guy Not scary at all I would stomp on any roaches for you Clean out dirty sinks with my bare hands I could trim your Christmas tree and lace your bedroom suite in satin I am actually quite romantic Let me have a good drink once in a while and I am all yours You would be more than morbidly fascinated by what I am capable of If you would but just give this monster a chance Sure, I don’t know for sure who my parents are and I hope I don’t have any brothers but A family is all that I desire… Just give me a chance to hold you and cradle you in these massive arms and I know you won’t want To let go…… If you could just see past this face
