The Ball

The Ball

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

Can you see all the gowns and all the beautiful people

"

Dance and glide

In and out of arms we slide

Smile bashful, eyelashes flutter

The dance floor we clutter

Nice but should there be some meaning or message? I still liked it.

Yes I can! I do like the short description of it. Sweet and simply put.

Ahhh quatrains. Lovely! You pack a lot of nice imagery into just four lines, and I can, indeed, see the dancing people. My only critique would be to change "smile bashful" to "smiles bashful," as it makes more grammatical sense. Good job!

It's an image...but that's it.
Is there a meaning you can try to add to the poem to give it depth?
