Sweet Consuming Homeland

Sweet Consuming Homeland

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

Try to imagine the horrors throughout the years Africans have been through....I don't think I could describe their horrors in the briefness of words....

"

Africa, do you forget?

Dear Homeland, see I am wasted!

Your militant man was only a boy waving farewell yesterday.

Dust settled upon this devouring mountain,

Africa, will you leave me conquered?

Abandon me not, my homeland!
