Locked DoorsA Poem by Laura E. ArandaI wrote this after being inspired by a guy named Noah Watt who is a youth advacate in innercity Atlanta. We went to Bible School together and eventually I found his blog somewhere. Well after reading about his work I birthed this.....I can beat all day I can tug at the knob I can ask for a key I can peer thru this window I can pretend there is no Bolt There is no Lock There is no Master Key Somewhere just of out reach Why o why Does all my future plans hide and glisten behind this glass padlocked door Where o where Is the key that unlocks all my dreams and future goals and plans Who o who will open this door for me When o when can I step thru and revel in the Now-I-have-arrived stage Or is it all a mirror Am I fooling my self Must all I do is turn around and see the future is all around me Just waiting to be beheld The key is in my hand The Padlock is at my feet The knob is not latched There is no locked door between me and my future I am standing in my NOW © 2008 Laura E.
