Into the StormA Chapter by A. L. AllenFlying into The smoke Ride the broken And scattered
Miserable remnants Of noble men. Flying,
Into the storm of eternal disgrace
Enemy columns Envelope them The fearful spectacle Stormed by pride
Into the arms of death they fly
Miserable remnants Of broken heroes
In storms The cavalry In comes The murderous volley
Pride kills with deadly accuracy Mingling men in common ruin
Leaving Miserable remnants Of noble men. © 2013 A. L. AllenAuthor's Note
