Presence

Presence

A Poem by Austin Hennings

Swirl of white shine
Tunnel to the center
Playroom of good karma
In the face of bright and bad
Underestimate the present presented
Undermine choice through critical thinking
Grounded by the seagulls
Their wings nailed on wooden platforms
On a boardwalk that never ends
Music, lights, children running free
Repair my wrongs
Flipping pages stuck together
Lost cap dries ink quicker than I can think
Always watching
