Soul Searching

Soul Searching

A Poem by Austin Hennings

Soul searching
For what I know is true
You can't stand the smell of the blunt on my shirt
When I walk in the room
Soul searching
For a sense of illusion
Because all of the stars
Have created their conclusions
Soul searching
I'm driving to California
To begin again
And think for the ones I've never heard of
Soul searching
I'll be gone in a minute
Say it before you lose the chance
To evoke this ecstasy
Maybe you'll finally understand
To take the time and pain
Think when you see this sunset
Please be there to see
I want to show you clarity through state of mind and perspective
