Boundless Tranquility

Boundless Tranquility

A Poem by Austin Hennings

I wonder
Why my leg becomes numb when you're laying on me
The red river flows through my fingers
Ice pours through my eyes
How can I feel something
So impossibly untouchable
Boundless tranquilities
Shake the bugs out of your hair
Come with me
This playground has no swings
Like a gas tank on E
Like a crosswalk on the city streets
Counting down from ten
The cracks in the bricks
Have not a care in the world
Till I wake up again
