Vacancy

Vacancy

A Poem by Austin Hennings

They waved
Melting at the thought of vacancy
Coming back seemed as frightening
Arms as open as the middle of the sun
Jump
We can both stand
Kicking pebbles on the early morning streets
Loud enough for the trees
The town picked up
Turn left
Go straight for six miles
Please be there by the fourth
