Insomnia

Insomnia

A Poem by Pauline Hamilton

Insomnia

I cannot sleep

and in the moons soft light

I long for a different life

Where I am all

total

encapsulated

existence

He dances for me

that lunar being

stroking my skin

whispering to me

secrets of passion and pleasure

Entering my sacred chamber

soothing my soul

touching sacred places

where no one visits

I cannot sleep

but his soft light

is company enough

in this moment
