Emerald nightA Chapter by echoChapter 1
Amelia Frasier was a special person.
''Amelia? Well, I don't really know her that well, uhm.. How to say it, she's kinda..Why are you even asking?'' Elliott looked at me, his eyes overwhelmed by silent questions. ''I don't really have a reason, I just wanted to.. Ugh, never mind.'' I said, but that just provoked him. ''You.. Do you have a thing for Amelia?'' He asked. I choked. Taking that as a yes, his eyes widened and his teeth showed, as if they were warning me of the following catastrophe. ''Hey, guys! Our Stephen's got a girlfriend!'' As if following the crowd that was attracted like mindless puppets, the plates fell down and attracted a crowd of their own. And that crowd was not the one we needed right now. ''What is this?'' Three words. The noise that would have made any man insane by the end of the day was silenced by three words that were not spoken any louder than the thoughts in my head. Three words. That's the power Jacqueline Forbes had over an academy filled with only men. She was most certainly the top, while we barely scraped the bottom. ''Would anyone care to explain this mess?'' Jacqueline said, barely containing her disgust. She pointed at her feet, which were now soiled by the leftover food. The plate broke under her foot, thousands and thousand of white pieces reflected a pale light outside the closed windows as they crumbled and disappeared. And I really wanted to see Amelia Frasier one more time. © 2015 echo |
