Four Horsemen

Four Horsemen

A Poem by Richard William Mueller III
"

The end is just a new way towards a beginning with an end

"
You take and you take
And it makes and it makes
It looks bleak, it looks bleak
Then we reek, then we reek

Is it worth what you've reaped?

Richard, I like the opening line. After that, I am uncertain as to what you are trying for, especially in light of the title. I also have trouble with the repetition of the 3rd and 4th lines, as they scan as simply being there for sake of completing a visual pattern. The poem has the kernel of an intriguing statement but doesn't quite deliver on its promise. Don't get me wrong, I think there is something here, just needs a little tweaking. Hope to read more of your work soon
