With Confidence

With Confidence

A Poem by Richard William Mueller III
"

I was pondering how people wake up facing the day so sure of themselves and how they nurture that feeling

"
Confidence may be key
But my door is kicked in
It is quite plain to see
I'm as destitute as I've ever been

Longing for something more
More than I'll ever receive
Woke up today wanting to soar
But now it's as if I've been bereaved

I'm fighting my grief
With my heart on my sleeve
Maybe the feeling will leave
For now I will believe

That this is but a fleeting moment of uncertainty
