Rough & Tough

 

At 9, it was my brother Arvind,
We were playmate - Kabbadi, cricket etc.
At 12, it was Darshak,
Neighbour cum schoolmate & a scholar.
At 13, it was Ratansinh & Sangita,
Both were classmates - clever & smart.
At 15, it was book
Just I had open up my window to the sky.
At 17, it was Akshay,
Carefree friend better then nothing.
At 19, it was Digant,
Young man with a poetic difference.
At 21, it was elder brother Lalit,
Someone thinking differently.
At 24, I was engaged with Bina,
Papa’s baby with sacrificed-thoughts
(my illusion lasted exactly one & half year).
After 29, I found one rough & tough,
She is not so tall but caring.
It’s with her I’m discovering the path,
- path of consciousness with a difference
that can make a wonderful companionship.
