Garble-deA Poem by Lily E. Lin
Garble-de-ga-baek
Back away, don't look Says the mother to the child The world is filled with things Better left alone Garbled-e-yuck's and WTf***'s Hand claps, slaps across the deck Clash! Gate closed Slamming, hinge creaking And limbs are stretching Beneath the porch, behind the stairs, in, that dark corner, just around, where shapes disappear, losing their marks, No, no, no remark, Nothing here to see, just move on, pass by, close your eyes Straight walk, by, bye Garble-de-ga- auch- None, of your business, now. Garble-burble-purple-gussy-burps gaggle of geese at the horizon spinning spiral, no V in sight Blubber-flubber-twists in line Don't! Parent in mind, speaking that would be bad, no when traveling on Mobius strips Keeping in, what axis of rotation again Ach, eyes down, if you just keep going straight ahead, shout where there is none to hear, loop where you cannot see, cannot fail or fall without perimeters without walls and the choice to stay in or fall out, in -to garble-de-ga-ach ahh.
