Just+a+mistake

Just+a+mistake

A Poem by Audrie

As I open my body to let you in

my ribs slowly morph into spikes

that begin to spin with images of you

dancing within the sanctuary of my heart

And

within the quicksands of my spirit and

each grain of my being

I am aware that what lies to come has already begun

So I must savor every morsal of your presence in my world

your sortilege spirits prance back and forth up and down

essentially their all around

Stirring things up and creating a boil in my belly

the potency is overwhelming and imbedding itself into my soil

and the cracks are filling up with fairytail forms

then the skies turned blood red and it became apparent that you were only in my head

You are a amazing Poet. The words were a pleasure to read. I had to read the poem a few times. The strength and power of your words create a wild vision with a surprise ending. I hope you write a book of poetry one day. Many would be graceful to read your words.

What is especially intriguing about this poem is it combines three major considerations at once: sexual desire, romance, and the wry existential awareness of how we generate the whole dance from our own psyches. Some have written of how we co-create one another in a holographic universe, and this poem broods on this beautifully -- albeit on the side of disjunction. ;-)
