Moonlight Enchantress

Moonlight Enchantress

A Poem by Audri Carlevaro

Her eyes glow like the moon,

deceptively kind,

as they rake over you.

An enchantress of the night,

she captures your gaze,

and promises to hold tight.

She’ll take your hand in hers,

whisper secrets in your ear;

A guarantee of a night to remember.

Her hips sway with yours,

hands run through your hair,

as her legs take her lower.

Your eyes will lock

as your bodies move to

the beat of a ticking clock.

Time with her is sparse,

you’ve got only one night to

Try and work your way into her (heart).

But know - when the sun rises,

she’ll slip from your bed,

watch as you dream of her entices,

And then she’s gone,

Without a word or kiss.

She was an angel of the moon all along.
