if i had a red wagonA Poem by Audrey Murrayif i had a little red wagon where would i go down the lane around the corner what would i see from my little red wagon so close to the ground where i could reach my hand touch the cement count the cracks wiggle squiggle haphazard in my path make my little red wagon wheels go bump bump bump push me one way then the next where will i go if i sit in my little red wagon without a way to steer the wheels go around the cracks in my path do i know when i begin where i will end and where is the in-between now and then keep my eyes open wide for the space between the cracks if I had a little red wagon it would be the little red wagon that could go where raindrops grow wild flowers on mountain tops after the wind blows winter snows from every corner where the sun comes up the moon disappears round and round i would go back home to dream of the places i have been friends far and wide go again down the lane around the corner to know what i have not yet seen in the cracks and the space between © 2015 Audrey MurrayReviews
