Ivory

Ivory

A Poem by Audrey Murray
"

I foster recue dogs . this is a poem about one of them

"

Ivory

Ivory was not so pretty

her poddle hair

a muddled white

needed a haircut

what Ivory noticed

she was left behind

she  did not like that

Ivory like me did not see well

like me she was old too

Her appetite  picky over special food

what ivory noticed

I was kind and attentive

she was fine with that

Ivory was a princess

she crossed her paws ever so nice

when she sat on the window chair

what Ivory noticed

I could be taught

how pleasant life can be

 when I love  a princess

They are so much like children to us, aren't they? So much love pulses through this indelible piece, Audrey...so much!

I am looking for a black cat with yellow eyes, A hunter, at night bringing frogs and mice live back to put at my feet.
Very good writing, with experience taken from your life.
