LWCA Poem by audrey patrickcancerLWC
Three, 3 letters, with a powerful meaning. I'm a LWC, a lesbian with cancer. I sit waiting for my first group of LWC"S to meet- such an ominious group to part of, a proud group to be apart of at this time in my life. But nevertheless, how much i wish it away, I still wake up as a womyn, lesbian, partner, neice, cousin, friend, teacher, lover of womyn, dog mom to maggie and libby and just a regular, normal person with the big"C"! -no matter what i do! So here I sit waiting to become a member of this illustrious group--will I get a toaster oven? I suppose I could use one-- What will I get? Support, love, friendship, comfort, laughter- I know I'll get it all and more because only another LWC could feel as I do, want what I want and need what I need.
So bring on the LWC's!
