Naive, You took advantage of these Characteristics plastered between my temples. Am I that obvious? That fragmental? I thought you could piece what Pieces I had left back together, But you played me worse than my cigarette butt, Smoked to the filter, which promised me relief, From the anxiety swarming inside, A stress-free future I thought I could see. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to take a compliment And not question the sincerity, Whether they're lying, or whether they're messed up in the head. -A
