Seasonal

Seasonal

A Poem by Auby Faith Evans
"

A love first felt in autumn.

"
Had I loved you, only because I loved you,
from the first autumn leaf, that turned gold.
You came to me one still day,
it was spring, it was the after rain.
Though unlike the peonies,
which lasted through the summer,
your love was short-lived,
leaving me to ponder.
I begin to believe,
that yours was a choice,
but mine,
is a longing truth.

My love to you,
though not so divine,
has its own blues...
and always will i have, the autumn shivers,
and forever will i bathe, in the spring showers.
If you ever questioned why,
my love,
glad as my reply,
"had i not loved you"?

Seasonal love… It's interesting, isn't it? This is a great poem! It's a little long than I'm used too, so I think it'd be better if you'd sort of make it more compact, you know? Pack more feelings into shorter stanzas.

But other than that, great job! :)
