A Journey From the TreeA Poem by Auby Faith EvansLeaves that fell to the ground every autumn.
November wind gushes through the bleak creature,
plucking its pride and glory with each swirl, and soon one by one or many at a time, readily set out on a journey, Some says it is a rocky boat adventure, sailing in the river of uncertainties, like a dancing wild that heads for a downfall, obeying gravity as they settled. Now a colony of unwanted sheets, forming a yellow sea under our feet, feeling a pang of stark reality, they look up to the wistful tree, putting a dot to the memory, as both stare in fated destiny... © 2017 Auby Faith Evans |
