A Poem by Amanda Trerotola

My Sweet Home New Jersey
How can I forget the pain you left in my heart
From dusting soil off my mothers grave
to the countless times' life tore me apart

My Sweet Home New Jersey
Ohio is calling my name
I can hear the chatter within the walls of my mind
But I am not ashamed

My Sweet Home New Jersey
I have the need to go now
Life has been a wild ride
Ohio, l will find my way somehow.

Title is terrific and I love the repeating lines, ads a homesick feeling to the piece. Sometimes you just have to pick up and move on, and as hard as it is, you know it will be for the better. You can always return, but you can never truly go home. Great work!!
