Untitled #1

A Poem by Bryan Sanchez

I remember that
for the first time in such a long time,
the world was really getting better.
And now I'm alone again,
but far too afraid to go back to silence.
I know I'll crumble back to ashen tears
that scream for epiphany.
I know I'll whither like the persistence inside me,
and float away
day by day
But let me take my time,
and for this moment
live in hope and
for fear of losing that hope.
I'm still gazing in the same direction.
Only now I'm reaching with more than song and dance;
some kind of epiphany.
Some kind of sunnier day.

About
I write poetry and screenplays, and hope to one day write a decent novel. Until then, I'll be content to fill up notebooks with ideas that'll never see the light of day, haha. more..
