Broken Automations

Broken Automations

A Poem by eMelody
"

The press, the machine, the railway, the telegraph are premises whose thousand-year conclusion no one has yet dared to draw. Friedrich Nietzsche

"

" Because I love you and nothing more. "
You sat their with your empty eyes,
You gazed at me with the most merciful of stares.
I can honestly admit, this humanoid used to work.
But it shut down when I told it,
" I love you. "
I don;t know why I said it.
Why should a human say that to a machine?
A creator to it subject?
A higher achy to it's peasant?
Maybe because?
This robot was an replica of someone I used to love until they faded away.
And this was a memory ....
Are you empty?
Did you ran out of gas?
Did that ghost leave the shell?
Say something...
Please...
Give me hope that she is still there.
