My Best Friend’s Memories

 

I still remember the moment when we first crossed our paths,

The priceless thing that I could have ever achieved,

Is you my dearest heart.

 

You know how much I craved for you,

for you are my soul and heart.

That’s why I can never exist without you

But I would be a mere lifeless block.

 

I remember the time we used to laugh together.

Oh!! Your smile!

They baptize me with life.

I remember you used to pour all your advices on me.

Oh!! Your words!

They blossom my heart..

 

But now, it’s hard for me to live like before,

because now…I’m without my heart and soul.

It’s mirthful how fate had decided to separate us apart.

 

The distance between us is just in thousands kilometers

But it seems like a light year to me..

 

Oh!! How long I have to wait to see

Your endearing smile,

to take a glimpse of your mesmerizing eyes.

 

O my dearest friend…

All I have is just your memories within me

Which are keeping me alive,

Until the time we meet under the bright shade of sunshine.

That was a very honest and beautiful piece. Every person enters in our life, because of a reason, and when the purpose is over, they silently leave us. It doesn't mean that they are bad, it just means that their role in our life is over.
The poem started out perfectly, but there were some parts of it, that could be re-framed.
For eg, The distance between us is just in thousands kilometers
But it seems like a light year to me.. - should be edited.

The ending could be delivered in a better way, something that will leave an impact, an everlasting one. Rest it is very well penned.
